Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
When you are feeling low, every day can feel like a struggle. You may have had a life change, a bereavement, an illness, problems in your relationships or at work.
You may just feel out of sorts and cannot pinpoint the reason.
Whatever challenges bring you here, I offer a warm, kind, genuine and safe, non-judgemental, empathetic space to be yourself, explore your feelings, vulnerabilities and behaviours to help you discover your own answers and ways forward.
UNIQUE APPROACH
We are all different and you are an individual, so your counselling journey will be individual too. Fundamentally, you are the expert about yourself and you have your own history and story to tell. Counselling with me will afford you the time and space to find the answers within yourself.
Having counselling with me will involve exploring thoughts, feelings, beliefs and events from your personal history and your present day. This will help you to understand why and how you are the way you are and the way you feel.
We cannot change the past, but we can change how we feel about it. My goal is to create a safe and trusting environment for you to feel empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions freely.
WHY WORK WITH ME
I offer empathetic support to help you navigate challenges and achieve growth in a safe space.
Confidential sessions ensure your privacy and allow you to freely express yourself without judgment or reservation.
Together we create tailored strategies based on your unique needs to guide you towards a healthier and happier mental state.
MY STORY
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, drawing from the person-centred and psychodynamic models of therapy. I have first-hand experience of the benefits of therapy and retrained after a career in journalism so that I can share those benefits. My journey began as a desire to support individuals with their mental health, leading me to establish my solo practice focused on personalised counselling.
I have built my practice to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. I have focused on skills to create tailored therapy sessions that cater to each individual's unique needs. Today, I am dedicated to helping others navigate their mental well-being with compassion and expertise.
I also work as a bereavement counsellor for St Raphael’s Hospice in Cheam, and a therapist for the Lucy Rayner Foundation based in Redhill.
